 note = {This is a practical report of the author’s teaching of English language, culture, and history using the film The King’s Speech in English Literature 3 for non-English majors at a Japanese university.
　Using films to teach English has a lot of benefits for the students. First of all, they can listen to various authentic English conversations. Also, they can learn aurally English phrases and expressions through dictation activities. Role playing as actors of the film can provide speaking practice in rather authentic situations.
