An earlier study revealed children’s songs were a superior teaching material that promoted the development of the infant. This is recognized by caregivers in childcare settings. However, the reality is that this is not accomplished systematically.  In order to halt the decline in use of children’s songs in actual childcare situations, the author suggests that children’s songs should be planned as an important part of the curriculum and training should be given in their use.
