Unlike resilience, PT includes the idea of socially favorable behaviors that require patience, that young people should be aware of in order to survive in a society. Typical social skill training (SST) is less effective if trainees are not involved due to the lack of basic social skills. PT measures the level of basic social skills for those who cannot endure SSTs.
