The manufacture of this special fabric was in danger of dying out in the 1980s due to scarcity of product and high retail cost, but was miraculously revived by the efforts of concerned individuals. This paper examines the contributions of three such people: a researcher and author, a fashion designer, and a manufacturer. By taking a detailed look at their activities, we can shed light on possible future moves in the industry and the unique nature of Philippine colonial culture.}, pages = {79--94}, title = {フィリピン伝統織物産業の復興に関する事例研究 : ピニャの再生に寄与した人々}, volume = {17}, year = {2003} }
