(1)How does one particular citizen, who lives in Shijonawate city and has physical impairments, spend his daily life? (2)What support services exist to help the citizens with physical impairments to enjoy their daily lives and better participate in various activities in the societies? (3)How do these services currently function and what concerns are there about them? The results show that the informant of this study, a male citizen with physical impairments, is very successful in getting volunteer supporters. Accordingly he has personal assistants near by him all day long, every day. These assistants include both home helpers paid by the public personal assistance system and volunteer helpers. Shijonawate city has set a limit for the hours of personal assistance under the public personal assistance system. The maximum hours of personal assistance admitted for one person are 203 hours per one month (31 days). It means that one is not necessarily guaranteed to have all the personal assistance, the major sort of community life support service, he or she needs. Some more problems similar to this were found. The authors argue that it is necessary to study the categories and potential abilities of volunteer supporters, and find or develop strategies to help the volunteers to contribute not only to helping particular citizens but also to reform the community life support systems.}, pages = {57--80}, title = {運動機能障害をもつ市民の日常生活と地域生活支援サービス:四條畷市におけるフィールド探索調査をもとにして}, volume = {18}, year = {2004}, yomi = {タカハシ, チカシ} }
