Zinc concentration in the serum was measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Also, the activity of ACE in the serum was measured using ACE assay kits.\n　There was a significant decrease in zinc concentration and of the activity of holo-ACE in the serum of rats fed a zinc-deficient diet.
