　Students were tested three times on Japanese language, English, math andspecialized subjects in April 2006, July 2006 and April 2007.
　The results showed that many students lack basic learning ability; in particularreading, literacy and math skills; indicating that we need not only commontextbooks to teach students basic learning skills, but so set up remedial classes toimprove academic competence.},
