We refer the former as “the four-week program” andthe latter as “the two-week program”.  For 29 years, until 2005, only the four-week program was offered, but because ofa requirement for a 15 week college semester, both programs have been offered since 2005 with the four-week program due to be phased out in 2007. In 2005 a survey was carried out on the four-week program. The current studyexamines both programs. Results were as follows: 1)Students in the two-week program found the second two-week period morepleasant than the first. 2)Student health was not affected by the type of program. 3)The sense of fulfillment from the training was related to understanding ofchildren and the nature of the work, and was unaffected by the type of program. 4)Students became aware of their aptitude for caregiver work irrespective ofprogram type. 5)Students in the two-week program preferred it because they had time to solveproblems in the interval between periods of traning. 6)Students in the four-week program preferred it because they were able to trainslowly and carefully and gain confidence during the longer continuous period.}, pages = {41--69}, title = {本学の保育所実習の実施に関する第2次調査 : 保育所の実習に係る実施期間の類型とその学習効果に関する学生の意識調査}, volume = {21}, year = {2008} }
