At that time there were no subjects called English at the elementary schools. It was just called English Activity Course or English Activity Time there. The author was a part time teacher then.  There are some strategies to teach English for the elementary school students.Basically, active learning is needed. Also, English Sounds, rhythm, and intonation are very important for students.
